Concurrent Licensing. Laserfiche provides a truly concurrent licensing structure. Instead of purchasing a license for every computer with Laserfiche installed, licenses can be purchased to suit the needs of the number of people enterprise-wide that will use Laserfiche. The number of licenses purchased equals the number of concurrent users of Laserfiche. Full user licenses allow users to perform scanning, retrieval, and administrative tasks. Retrieval licenses allow for performing only searches and retrievals. By buying the less expensive retrieval licenses along with one or two full licenses, organizations can save money.

State-of-the-art design introduces a greater level of security, as only the LaserFiche server accesses original document images. The system administrator can specify exactly what each user can do with any document on the system. Laserfiche 7.0 Released!
The release of Laserfiche 7.0 brings a completely new Windows Client and a great deal of new functionality. The new client interface maintains the intuitive look and feel associated with Laserfiche and adheres to the Windows Explorer paradigm more closely than ever before. Laserfiche 7.0 is tightly integrated with Office applications and provides simplified filing of Office documents through the File "Send To" menu in the toolbar. Additionally, importing email and attachments through Outlook has been enhanced and email properties such as subject, sender, recipient and date/time received can be automatically extracted and used to populate LaserFiche template fields.
Laserfiche 7.0 is the foundation of the LaserFiche Records Management Edition that was certified as compliant with the Department of Defense Records Management Standard (DoD 5015.2). A good deal of the features required for DoD compliance have been included in the core product and include template level security, required fields, improved versioning, document linking and informational/security markings.

Acting as an electronic courier between the Laserfiche document imaging system and any Web browser, Laserfiche WebLink delivers actual images-not just text like other programs. Anyone can view the image, text, or template of a document. To balance the trade-off between high resolution images and fast file transport, Laserfiche WebLink initially sends a highly compressed image so that the reader can read the document quickly. Laserfiche Plus™ Laserfiche Plus publishes enterprise information to CDs with integrated search and viewing capabilities. This allows portable access on PCs and notebooks without installing the Laserfiche network client. CDs provide simplified distribution without the costs and inefficiencies associated with paper-based systems. Laserfiche Plus CDs can be distributed to mobile staff, remote offices and clients on a royalty-free basis.
